
Jonathan Sullivan - Strings
Jonathan Sullivan is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. After completing his
Bachelor of Music Education degree at the University of South Carolina in 1982,
Jonathan taught in the Greenville County School district for eleven years where he produced some outstanding orchestras. In 1995, Jonathan left Greenville and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with his new bride.
Jonathan has played and held key positions in many orchestras across the southeast including the Augusta Symphony, Columbia Philharmonic Orchestra, Greenville Symphony, Florence Symphony, Toccoa Symphony, and the National Chamber Players. Jonathan has also played in orchestras that accompanied many great artists including: Natalie Cole, Linda Rondstadt, Janos Starker, Isaac Stern, Eugene Fodor, Shirley
Jones, David Sanborn, and the legendary Victor Borge.
Presently, Jonathan is a member of the Western Piedmont Symphony. He is also the Orchestra Director at West Mecklenburg High and Coulwood Middle Schools, a post
that he has held for 13 years since moving to Charlotte.
